The Escudo Rojo has a dense and deep ruby red colour and is a blend of the Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Carmenere (37%), and Syrah (18%) which all combine to provide the tannic, mildly spicy, and refined taste that it has.

Made from the sensational red wine grapes of Chile, the Escudo Rojo Origine was matured for one year in 25% new oak barrels and 75% one-year-old barrels. It is intense and fruity with notes of spices and blackcurrants.

The cabernet sauvignon grape has its origins in France and from its chemical compound springs a spectacular feel of green peppers. The cabernet sauvignon from Chile offers an assortment of zests that rouse the palate and the nose. Chile is one of the countries that produce the greatest amount of Cabernet Sauvignon worldwide.

It can be paired with foods like cranberries, mushrooms, a fillet of beef, or even pan-fried duck breast with black tea and figs to provide the fullness of the meal. The Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon also tastes amazing alone, without the company of any meal.
